19-year-old Jared Price (Corey Spears) leaves his home in Georgia to start a new life in Southern California. With only a backpack and a few hundred dollars in his pocket, he sets out his journey. He checks in to a youth hostel with very little privacy and a prostitute for a roommate. He befriends Robert who also stays in the same hostel but he soon discovers that Robert wants more than friendship. Jared gains employment as a personal caretaker for Mrs. Haines, a wealthy, old blind woman and he unexpectedly falls into a deceptive relationship with her affluent 35-year old son Matthew (Steve Tyler).
