ACROSS THE UNIVERSE (2007) is a story of love and true friendship set in the 60's amidst the turbulent years of anti-war protest, mind exploration and rock 'n roll. Jude (Jim Sturgess), Lucy (Evan Rachel Wood) and Max (Joe Anderson), along with a small group of friends and musicians, are swept up into the emerging anti-war and counterculture movements.

I've just seen a face... Max invites Jude and introduces him to his family where Jude is immediately smitten by the radiance of Max's younger sister Lucy. Max avoiding to be ridiculed by his family invites Jude & Lucy to a bowling alley. (Jim's interpretations of the song is so charming that I'm sure that the ladies out there would dream to be the woman being referred to in the song.)

I want you... no escape for Max as he enlists in the army for the Vietnam mission. (This particular clip is beautifully choreographed and would definitely pass as a great music video.)

Dear Prudence... Jude, Max, Lucy and Sadie (Dana Fuchs) are trying to cheer up their lesbian friend Prudence (T.V. Carpio). (The song is so simple melody yet interpreted so beautifully.)

Strawberry fields forever... best friends Jude & Max sing out their disappointment and depression, the former because his girlfriend is neglecting him whilst the latter is not so happy about being in Vietnam. (One of the best songs!)
